Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (UK Client)

About The Role

The role will support a busy and growing UK electrical company across estimating, document control and wider support for the team. You will be working closely with the local estimator and project managers, the position will involve completing take-offs, preparing Bills of Quantities, organising tender documents, reviewing drawings and assisting with general ad hoc tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Estimating Support
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and tender schedules.
• Complete quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities.
• Identify scope requirements, exclusions, discrepancies and areas requiring clarification.
• Request and track supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender documentation for final pricing and review by the senior estimator.
• Document Control
• Receive, review and organise incoming electrical tender packages.
• Separate, rename and file drawings, specifications, schedules and supporting documents into the correct project folders.
• Identify relevant electrical documents and ensure the latest revisions are being used.
• Manage tender correspondence, quotations and schedules received through the inbox.
• Maintain accurate tender records, folder structures and project notes in OneNote.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 4+ years' experience in electrical estimating and tendering.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Experience completing quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
• Excellent document control, file management and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Confident requesting and tracking supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Strong English skills both verbal and written communication skills.
• Open to supporting with wider team with ad hoc tasks and overflow of duties during busy periods.
