Responsibilities
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, gaining familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget and schedule for assigned tasks.
- Effectively recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
- Provide assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elements, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 4 years of engineering experience in building electrical systems
- Experience with power system software (preferably ETAP)
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) & IEEE standards
- Understanding of electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
- At least one year of design experience for semiconductors, data centers, or mission critical facilities
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team leadership and client interaction experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $132,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations, enabling them to deliver their best work.
