Electrical Engineer - Product Design

About the role

This position supports the design and development of advanced electrical components, equipment, and systems for unmanned air vehicles. Assignments are normally accompanied by general instructions and suggestions, outlining possible approaches, sources, or information.

Responsibilities

• Design analog, digital, and power conversion circuits with appropriate analysis and/or CAD modeling.
• Develop control schemes (analog, digital, or software), magnetic and electric machine design and/or specification, digital design, thermal analysis, and packaging.
• Create documentation to support production, including test procedures, records, bill of materials, ICDs, SCDs, ECOs, and provide production support and training.
• Provide field support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. Equivalent engineering experience may substitute for education.
• Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately in an evolving environment.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and coordination skills to determine appropriate approaches at the task or project level.
• Excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, perform complex tasks in one engineering area, and lead less experienced employees on semi-routine tasks.
• Ability to work extended hours as required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $62,510 – $105,628
