About the role

Join our growing team in Boston, MA as an Electrical Engineer - IV. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group, working closely with our internal design team, external clients, and consultants. You will progress from basic design assignments to more complex projects, collaborating with a technical team in a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Our flexible work schedule includes Monday to Thursday in the office for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours remotely from home, along with fun social events for an exciting and rewarding career.

Responsibilities

  • Create basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer.
  • Develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for projects of varying sizes.
  • Begin establishing system application, design, and operational parameters/sequences under the direction of the Senior on the project.
  • Participate in ensuring and oversee the QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Assist in determining project scheduling requirements, manpower needs, and project budgets.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including conducting field inspections and preparing detailed inspection reports.
  • Assist in processing RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
  • Current PE registration preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
  • LEED AP highly preferred.
  • Experience with projects such as Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP.
  • Proficient in design and calculation software.
  • Ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of detailed drawings.
  • Basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to building designs.

Pay

Boston Pay Range: $91,557–$137,335 USD.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday in the office for 9 hours and Friday for 4 hours remotely from home.
