Electrical Engineer - Buildings

About the role

Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for providing high-level technical guidance on electrical systems for utility, industrial, and commercial projects across various sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical building systems, standby power, power distribution, renewable energy, and protection systems.
• Review and advise on design documents, procurement, and project plans, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform complex electrical calculations, develop plans and specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead junior engineers, oversee technical investigations, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Build client relationships, ensure project quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, and contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience with electrical design and infrastructure planning.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Proficiency in electrical codes, design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, etc.), and technical writing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of regulations, safety standards, and experience with project coordination and client interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED certification.
• Regional project experience.
