Electrical Engineer

About the role

Provides automation, electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and continuous process lines operations. Acts as a resource for quality-related items including coil research, production and engineering logs, and sales questions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems.
• Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements.
• Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc.
• Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical, and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process.
• Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects.
• Acts as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment.
• Responsible for backups and disaster recovery for drives and Level 1 systems.

Requirements

• Significant experience in the design, programming, and commissioning of control systems for industrial applications.
• Strong project management skills.
• LOTOTO experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Good understanding of closed loop control systems.
• Moderate AutoCAD proficiency.
• Proficient in automation, AC drives, and process controls.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in the metals or related industry preferred (continuous process line experience is a plus).
• Automation and commissioning experience preferred.
