About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop design concepts for circuits and systems
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for resolving problems
  • Review customer specifications and provide input on technical proposals and cost estimates
  • Provide technical input and documentation to support manufacturing practices, procedures, and/or process
  • Participate in teams addressing technical issues or specific organizational requirements
  • Enhance existing products for improved functionality, cost reduction, and manufacturability
  • Work productively with all aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, purchasing, planning, etc.
  • Gather and analyze data, formatting and presenting to customers both internally and externally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4-6 years of electro-mechanical technician experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 2-4 years' experience with an emphasis on designing systems for custom automation and/or capital equipment

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry design, power distribution design, implementing microprocessors & microcontrollers, and PLC programming
  • Experience with safety standards/compliance for systems integration (NEC, UL, CE, CSA, SEMI S2, etc.)
  • Experience with networking Ethernet and/or Device net, others
  • Knowledge of C or VB language programming skills a plus
  • Knowledge of RF systems and design a plus
  • Strong communications (written, verbal, listening) and team skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Fast learner with energy and enthusiasm
  • Able to implement and verify high quality designs in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Computer skills, MS Office, AutoCAD or ORCAD, etc.

Skills

  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to move arms, hands and fingers

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
