About the role
The Electrical Engineer/Designer will work in a multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects for a variety of markets. In this role, you won’t just design electrical systems for commercial buildings - you’ll play a key role in bringing ambitious ideas to life as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Understand and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment.
- Edit electrical system specifications.
- Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components.
- Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents.
- Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress.
- Interact with project team members and leaders.
- Support the Data Center and Mission Critical Group.
Requirements
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar).
- 3-5 years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
- Design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
- Hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
