Electrical Engineer

About the role

As an Electrical Engineer reporting to the Head of E-compressor Production, you will focus on research, planning, design, and support of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems. You will direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of these products and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify programs for various production equipment.
• Optimize machining, assembly, and other manufacturing processes.
• Program and troubleshoot systems involving PLCs, robotics, HMIs, CNC, and motion systems.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, management, and cross-functional teams (including customers) to implement processes, resolve issues, and communicate technical information effectively.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, reports, visual process diagrams, and prototype/serialization records to ensure consistency and traceability.
• Lead and support quality initiatives including root cause analysis, corrective actions, FMEA, PPAP activities, audits, and act as a liaison for customer quality issues.
• Use CAD to provide drawings for new or modified mechanical/structural parts, electrical schematics, pneumatic schematics, and hydraulic schematics.
• Review the preventive maintenance (PM) system to help improve machine performance and reliability.
• Work with manufacturers and vendors to help solve problems with their equipment.
• Develop and write task analysis, cost analysis, and proposals for implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of PLCs, robotics, HMIs, CNC, motion systems, and CAD.
