Electrical Engineer
LaBella Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY office. This position will collaborate with other engineers as part of a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction.
About the role
The Electrical Engineer will work closely with architects, engineers, and team members to produce electrical engineering documents for a variety of project types, including K-12 and higher education, municipal, healthcare, large commercial, residential, and other unique projects. Typical responsibilities involve field work, design, and construction administration services.
Responsibilities
- Work with other engineers as part of a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports
- Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies
- Conduct field investigations to document existing conditions
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating professionally with co-workers, staff, project managers, and other disciplines
- Improve current knowledge of technologies and trends relevant to applicable projects and market types
- Continually strengthen technical and professional skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 3–7 years of experience
- EIT certification is a plus
- Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred
- Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Pay
Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000 per year. The specific salary offered may be influenced by factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.
