Electrical Engineer

This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence. HDR is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Perform innovative designs of building-related electrical systems over a variety of markets including Datacenters, Education, Science and Technology, Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, and Federal.
• Coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire project's life cycle from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration.
• Support the development of drawings, specifications, and related engineering calculations, as well as field inspection, resolution of RFIs, and review of shop drawings during construction.
• Work closely with senior electrical engineers, EITs and designers.
• Be self-motivated and possess strong leadership skills with a passion to deliver creative, technically excellent electrical design solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local candidates are preferred.
