About the Role

GTI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems for modular infrastructure projects. This role develops electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring documentation, and production-ready electrical designs supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems (GenSets), Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, and other custom engineered solutions. May require up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems supporting modular infrastructure and industrial equipment.
  • Develop single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable schedules.
  • Support integration of switchgear, transformers, generators, batteries, UPS systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and monitoring equipment.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering, controls, manufacturing, and project teams.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and basic electrical analysis.
  • Develop production-ready electrical documentation supporting manufacturing and integration.
  • Support compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer specifications.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and continuous product improvements.
  • Support prototype builds, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to resolve electrical design and production issues.
  • Support engineering changes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with electrical CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
  • Understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and controls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Generator Systems, Modular Data Centers, industrial skids, or similar equipment.
  • Experience with switchgear, motor control, PLC systems, UPS systems, generators, transformers, or industrial controls.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
  • Background in fabrication-heavy or contract manufacturing environments.
