About the Role

Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is recruiting for an Electrical Engineer based at our manufacturing facility in Barton, AL. This role supports manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams in optimizing process controls to improve efficiencies and equipment run ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with Engineers, Maintenance Planners, Process Leads, and tradespeople.
• Participate in area safety initiatives and maintenance outage planning meetings.
• Collaborate with operations, Reliability Department, and Engineering to resolve repetitive equipment reliability issues.
• Provide technical assistance to E/I Technicians for daily maintenance, repairs, and run-ability issues.
• Assist in developing equipment preventative maintenance procedures with the Reliability Department.
• Support daily emergency repairs as needed.
• Contribute to craft training and development of training materials.
• Participate in a Weekend Duty Rotation for the site.
• Develop expertise in machine/product technology and processes.
• Share technical knowledge to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Foster teamwork through open communication, constructive feedback, and mutual respect.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Lead teams and achieve results through others.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of PLCs and VFDs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.
• Understanding of instrumentation and process controls.
• Ability to work as an electrician if needed.
• Mechanical aptitude.
