Job Description
The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for assisting in the application, design, development, project management and troubleshooting of OEM equipment.
- Gain an understanding of engineering standards, products, systems, and procedures.
- Perform needs analysis, initiate ideas, and evaluate new products, processes, or systems.
- Aid in machinery design and the selection of components and materials.
- Develop of engineering specifications and original design concepts.
- Provide detailed technical analysis of equipment.
- Assist in machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies.
- Test and debug equipment to isolate defects.
- Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes.
- Prepare layouts using CAD tools.
- Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for less complex equipment.
- Support assembly teams as needed.
- May travel to customer site for technical assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 0 – 5 years of related experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts
- Working knowledge of CAD (E-Plan and/or AutoCAD) and engineering systems
- Strong logical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel up to 15%
