About the role

This role offers the opportunity to work in an Agile engineering environment on complex systems and cutting-edge technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to research, design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to perform engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation of complex systems and their components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks.
  • Conduct trade studies to compare technical approaches and support informed decision-making for system and subsystem designs.
  • Perform dynamic analyses to evaluate system performance and behavior under various operating conditions.
  • Allocate and trace system and subsystem requirements, ensuring clear documentation and alignment across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Develop algorithms to support system functionality, performance, and control, and document them clearly for implementation and testing.
  • Author detailed test procedures to verify system, subsystem, and component-level requirements.
  • Verify requirements through structured testing, analysis, and review, ensuring systems meet performance and compliance objectives.
  • Integrate hardware and software components and conduct integration testing to validate system functionality and interoperability.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and integration problems.
  • Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits using common laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, and digital multimeters.
  • Interface with vendors to coordinate component selection, procurement, and technical issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with customers to clarify requirements, review progress, and address technical questions or concerns.
  • Work closely with engineers from other disciplines, including systems engineering, integration, and test, to deliver robust, high-quality products.
  • Contribute to both new development programs and legacy system upgrades, helping to integrate new technologies into existing platforms.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • Experience with analog circuits and digital circuits, including design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment.
  • Familiarity with common laboratory engineering tools, including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, digital multimeters, and other support equipment.
  • Ability to conduct trade studies, perform dynamic analyses, allocate and trace requirements, develop algorithms, and author test procedures.
  • Experience verifying requirements, integrating and testing systems, performing root cause analysis, and resolving defects.
  • Ability to interface effectively with vendors, customers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • An active U.S. security clearance at the Secret level or higher, or the ability to obtain an Interim Clearance, is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Agile engineering environment.
  • Background in systems integration, system test, or related systems engineering functions.
  • Experience supporting both new development programs and legacy system upgrades.
  • Strong documentation skills for test procedures, requirements, and analysis reports.
  • Ability to work effectively within large, multi-group engineering organizations.
  • Interest in working on cutting-edge technologies and complex defense-related systems.
