Duties/Responsibilities
- Serves as the organizational subject matter expert on standards and practices for electrical engineering designs, system components, installations, and system construction.
- Participates in design reviews of and provides comments on contractor submittals on electrical designs and plans.
- Provides quality assurance oversight, documentation of such oversight, and recommends corrective actions.
- Performs on-site inspections of contractor’s work.
- Reviews submittals and responds to Request for Information (RFI).
- Provides safety oversight, documentation of such oversight, and directs corrective actions.
- Affords assistance in interpreting and enforcing contractual provisions regarding contractor electrical requirements and deliverables.
- Documents and provides reports regarding contractor progress toward accomplishing contractual scopes of work and recommends authorization of progress payments.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as electrical engineer on large complex multimillion dollar federal construction projects, Department of Defense preferred.
- Experience with Resident Management System (RMS), preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience working at federal facilities including buildings, airfield facilities, and electrical power stations.
