Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test control and data acquisition (DAQ) systems for pulsed-power facilities.
  • Design and assemble PCBs for control systems, diagnostics, and pulsed-power applications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Develop control architectures spanning sensing, actuation, embedded hardware, and data acquisition.
  • Conduct applied R&D across electrical engineering, fusion energy, and pulsed-power systems.
  • Write specifications and technical reports and support systems through build, testing, and iteration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in PCB schematic and layout design using Altium Designer or equivalent software.
  • 1+ years of experience simulating electronic circuits using SPICE.
  • 1+ years of experience designing control processes and control systems, including defining control architecture, sensing, and actuation.
  • 1+ years of experience configuring and managing data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DMMs, as well as sensors and calibration techniques.
  • Experience with embedded hardware system design.

  • Must be able to travel and work extended hours/weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • C and/or Python programming ability.
  • Experience with pulsed-power, high-voltage, or high-current systems.
  • Familiarity with EMI hardening and protected I/O for electrically noisy environments.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS-485, or Ethernet.

What We Value

  • Give a shit.
  • Build things you're proud of.
  • Take responsibility. If something is broken and you can fix it, fix it.
  • See things through.
  • Move fast. Make decisions, learn quickly, and keep moving forward.
  • Think bigger.
  • Simplify relentlessly. Don't default to the safe answer.
  • Disagree and commit. The best idea wins. Once a decision is made, we move.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Relocation assistance for roles that require it.
