Responsibilities
Design Support: Prepare project designs, specifications, and drawings that adhere to codes and engineering standards.
Construction Review: Evaluate construction plans, contractor submittals, and proposed changes to ensure quality and compliance.
Site Evaluation: Conduct inspections and surveys to identify issues, verify conditions, and provide recommended solutions.
Technical Guidance: Offer engineering advice to staff and assist with troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment.
Coordination Work: Work with other disciplines, facility staff, and design professionals to support successful project outcomes.
Problem Analysis: Investigate electrical failures or unusual conditions and recommend effective corrective actions.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Electrical Engineer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system; and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; or Two years of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
Special Requirements: You must be in possession of a Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. You must be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
