Responsibilities
- Provide support for process control equipment related to ship systems.
- Perform electric valve actuator assessments, training, and technical assistance for ship personnel during repair and testing.
- Participate in the design, development, or modification of new and existing Systems Engineering Processes (SEP) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).
- Review of technical documentation related to all variants of fielded systems and future fielded systems.
- Provide design support for integration of equipment in an industrial/shipboard environment.
- Collaborate on solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Provide software and hardware installation support.
- Troubleshoot complex problems of all systems.
- Support auxiliary systems including fuel and lube oil systems, pumps, heat exchangers, smart valves, life support and compressed air systems.
- Apply expertise in Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications to improve shipboard operations.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with HMI and PLC applications.
- Extensive experience with auxiliary fluid support systems and a strong understanding of Navy programs, organizations, and functions.
Skills And Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools.
- Proficiency in the use of testing and diagnostic tools associated with industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in designing, modeling, and testing advanced systems.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- Knowledge of naval systems and shipboard operations.
Pay
The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience.
