Electrical Discipline Specialist

About the role

The Electrical Discipline Specialist will act as the liaison between management and design staff, collaborating with designers to produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects. This position requires a strong understanding of REVIT for designing and developing construction documents for various types of projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers to produce full sets of construction documents for commercial building projects.
• Lead quality assurance for the team.
• Design and develop construction documents using REVIT.
• Develop and apply concepts to complex designs for multiple types of buildings and clients.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as the NEC.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Manage project timelines and budgets.

Requirements

• 7 years of applicable work experience in the A/E field, specializing in Electrical Engineering with a focus in commercial/facility design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit platforms.
• Thorough knowledge of required codes like the NEC.
• Specialized certifications in discipline-related systems (e.g., ADA, LEED).
• Experience with cost estimation software (Costworks).
• Experience with project management software (Masterworks).
• Possess a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with good standing (preferred).
