Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Programs, troubleshoots, and operates programmable controllers, distributive control systems and interlocking systems.
- Installs equipment for new electrical services (120v, 240v, and 480v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, times and controls.
- Performs electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work; installs or replaces circuit breakers, fuses, variable speed drives.
- Performs and assists in all operations maintenance activities. All applicable work is done in accordance with National, State and Local Electrical Codes.
- Sets an effective pace and minimizes interruptions to the process.
- Participates in safety programs and safety training and demonstrates total commitment and compliance with all Company Safety and Sanitation policies.
- Uses the Company's computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to record and access maintenance related information.
- Works on electrical equipment including but not limited to Frequency Drives (VFDs), Contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.
- Performs preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, practices, and techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Considerable knowledge of and ability to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance activities.
- Considerable knowledge and application of safety standards and precautions pertaining to electrical work.
- Able to use to use ladders and scaffolding in a safe, efficient manner.
- Able to work from sketches, drawings, and blueprints.
- Able to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems, and take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.
- Able to perform electrical activities/repairs independently and assist on more complicated repairs.
- Able to complete minor to mid-sized projects from planning to installation.
- Able to present options and ideas to current processes or procedures.
- Able to perform task and duties without constant supervision.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Basic computer skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from trade school or technical school in related discipline or equivalent apprenticeship.
- 2 to 4 years of electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and automation system maintenance experience.
Skills

Benefits
Must successfully pass Master License for the state of New Mexico within 6 months of hire date.
Pay
$34.00/hour
