Responsibilities

  • Plan, assign, direct work and resolve job‑related technical problems.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet build schedules.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Estimate and inspect materials.
  • Confer with other leaders to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Perform material follow‑up, if necessary.
  • Attend team meetings.
  • Determine with other leaders and/or job leaders break points for cable tray, piping, and fence for teardown.
  • Understand and follow safety & environmental regulations and identify safety/environmental concerns.
  • Adhere to the Quality System and participate in continuous improvement.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance (essential function).
  • Update E‑BOM summary weekly and give to Electrical Supervisor.
  • Work with other department leaders during build phase.
  • Organize materials on job shelves, create daily/weekly written work plans.
  • Assist PLC Programmers with tool functionality.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree from a college or university; or at minimum 10 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical demands: While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock; occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; noise level usually moderate.
