Electrical Specialist
Job Summary
This role is responsible for maximizing plant performance and run time through troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment, while upholding all safety rules and regulations and adhering to IKO’s core values. Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, with additional hours and schedule adjustments as required based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and fuse disconnects.
- Manage assigned work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
- Work in a team-oriented environment with other maintenance personnel.
- Communicate effectively up and down the chain of command.
- Work with computers, line drives, and PLCs.
- Understand and comply with all safety rules.
- Comprehend and use technical manuals and schematics.
- Organize work area, tools, and parts.
- Work with minimal supervision; manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Subject to 24-hour call-out; must be able to work shifts and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to work the assigned shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, with flexibility based on business needs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and work in elevated areas.
- Knowledge of Safety Systems and their application/use.
- Minimum of five years of electrical maintenance experience in a plant setting.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley Drives, relay logic, PLCs, and programming.
- Experience with various instrumentation sensors and transmitters.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting using remote HMI.
- Ability to work with computer-based maintenance software.
- Superior analytical and troubleshooting skills.
