About the role

The Electrical Designer/Engineer will work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment supporting mission-critical telecommunications and data center projects, as well as traditional building infrastructure. This role focuses on the electrical design of complex facilities, including data centers, telecom and network infrastructure spaces, apartment buildings, retail/commercial spaces, hospitals, and educational facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical distribution and emergency generator system designs and documentation in AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Understand and design of lighting systems, electrical, and fire alarm systems.
  • Perform electrical load calculations and select and size equipment.
  • Edit electrical system specifications.
  • Survey existing buildings and identify electrical systems and components.
  • Review submittals of equipment for compliance with the contract documents.
  • Observe and report upon electrical construction work in progress.
  • Interact with project team members and leaders.
  • Support the Data Center and Mission Critical Group.

Requirements

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology program (or similar), is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in design of electrical systems for various types of facilities.
  • Design experience in commercial, residential and institutional projects.
  • Hands-on experience with latest versions of AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, Outlook, and engineering calculation and performance simulation software.
