Electrical Designer

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Create and update design drawings, including electrical one-lines, three-lines, control diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Generate detailed BOMs (Bills of Materials) for electrical designs.
• Adhere to company and client engineering standards and procedures.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with local and national electrical codes and standards.
• Communicate with contractors and customers using clear verbal and written communication.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma preferred or relevant experience.
• Experience Preferred: 2+ years of professional experience in electrical designer role, ideally in power generation, industrial systems, or related energy applications.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code for designing electrical systems.
• Experience using Eplan for design projects.

Skills

• Solid understanding of electrical circuits theory (electrical circuits, components, wiring standards, and the National Electrical Code).
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical details to peers.
• Focus and attention to detail for complex electrical systems.
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Familiar with UL508A Industrial Control Panel design requirements.
