About the role
Engage in a variety of engineering tasks, providing support on project plans for complex projects within our gas business unit. Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to develop electrical design packages for complex projects, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation that meet project requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Support project plans for complex projects within the gas business unit.
- Develop electrical design packages, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Take ownership of discipline-specific design work on simpler efforts while assisting with technical analysis on more complex ones.
- Work through design challenges, communicate impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and build proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
- Ensure quality by reviewing your own work and participating in peer and QA/QC checks.
- Coordinate key information through project leaders and support field activities, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
