Electrical Design Engineer II

About the role

In this role, you will engage in a variety of engineering tasks, providing support on project plans for complex projects within our gas business unit. Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design packages for complex projects, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation that meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure designs align with project goals and specifications.
• Support both small and large projects—taking ownership of discipline-specific design work on simpler efforts while assisting with technical analysis on more complex ones.
• Work through design challenges, communicate impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and build proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
• Ensure quality by reviewing your own work and participating in peer and QA/QC checks.
• Coordinate key information through project leaders and may occasionally support field activities, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CAD and other engineering tools.
