Electrical Design Engineer II
About the role
In this role, you will engage in a variety of engineering tasks, providing support on project plans for complex projects within our gas business unit. Responsibilities
- Develop electrical design packages for complex projects, contributing calculations, drawings, and documentation that meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure designs align with project goals and specifications.
- Support both small and large projects—taking ownership of discipline-specific design work on simpler efforts while assisting with technical analysis on more complex ones.
- Work through design challenges, communicate impacts to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, and build proficiency in CAD and engineering tools.
- Ensure quality by reviewing your own work and participating in peer and QA/QC checks.
- Coordinate key information through project leaders and may occasionally support field activities, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related engineering or consulting industry.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CAD and other engineering tools.
