About the role

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of cable harnesses and electrical systems for New Glenn
  • Collaborate with test engineers to define and implement requirements for cable harnesses
  • Design and create detailed drawings and documentation for cable harnesses and electrical systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of systems
  • Ensure designs meet high standards of quality and safety

Requirements

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cable harness design, procurement, fabrication, and testing
  • Experience with connector systems and associated accessories
  • Knowledge of cable shield grounding/bonding methods and requirements
  • Experience with Creo CAD and Windchill PDM systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead design reviews and coordinate across cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

  • Technical expertise in cable harness design and testing
  • Leadership skills in managing design processes and coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of the design and testing process
