Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for automated packaging equipment, including creating electrical schematics, panel layouts, and cable routing in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Select components, specify power distribution and control hardware, and collaborate with mechanical, software, and project engineering teams to ensure integrated, reliable machine performance.
• Support factory acceptance testing, troubleshoot electrical issues during assembly and commissioning, and provide technical documentation and updates for production and service teams.
• Interact with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, implement design changes, and help optimize system performance and maintainability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of UL, NEC and NFPA 79 required.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical required.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical components and their function is required.
• Highly developed customer orientation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing electrical systems for automated packaging equipment. They should possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of industry experience. Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations, as well as proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Electrical, are essential. A strong ability to communicate effectively and a customer-oriented mindset are also crucial.
