Responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand a variety of electrical drawings and navigate via understanding of electrical symbols.
- Understanding of controls schematics, ladder diagrams, and relay logic.
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot low and high voltage controls and understanding of PLC input/outputs, terminology, software, relay logic, current paths, and electrical components.
- Ability to troubleshoot and navigate and adjust parameters on VFD’s.
- Evaluate problems in an industrial/manufacturing environment and recommend possible solutions.
- Able to work in tight confined spaces or elevated areas.
- Working knowledge of instrumentation devices such as O2 sensors, controls devices, and fiber optics installation/terminations.
- Lay out, thread and run ridged conduit.
- Cable tray layout and installation.
Requirements
- The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, and rain.
- Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts.
- Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in electrical work, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
