About the role

We are a well-established electrical contractor serving the Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio markets. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Superintendent to oversee large projects in Columbus. Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of electricians and apprentices
  • Check and test work
  • Maintain a schedule of work and deliveries
  • Plan tasks several weeks in advance
  • Control and order materials
  • Represent the company at job planning and coordination meetings
  • Communicate and coordinate work with clients and other contractors
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Fill and submit paperwork in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Conduct work activities with the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • In-depth working knowledge of applicable OSHA safety requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Strong, effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Resilient and a team player
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative, aggressive self-starter
  • Ability to work while using appropriate safety equipment and clothing
  • Training to safely use tools and equipment (e.g., scissors lifts, forklifts, drills, saws, testing equipment, scaffolding)
  • Valid OSHA 30 card (preferred)
  • Valid State-issued Driver’s License and insurable for business vehicles
  • Dependable transportation to and from work site
  • Minimum of six years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician or foreman
  • Minimum of three years of experience as Superintendent on large projects
  • Ability to pass a drug test and comply with Ohio Drug Free Workplace (DFWP) regulations

Pay

$45.00 - $60.00 per hour + project bonuses
