About the Role

As an Electrical Superintendent, you will serve as the primary job site supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment for mid to large size ground-up or tenant finish projects. This role requires complex coordination of multiple subordinate supervisors and crews.

We are seeking highly experienced Electrical Construction professionals who are well-organized, have Foreman experience, and are ready to take on larger projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all FSG Construction field trades on an electrical construction project.
  • Perform a working estimate and take-off jointly with the Project Manager.
  • Lay out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons; jointly responsible with the Project Manager for ensuring material, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower are in the proper place in a timely fashion.
  • Establish work schedules and man-loading charts; must be proficient with computers, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Interface with representatives of the General Contractor on day-to-day project scheduling and overall performance issues.
  • Provide general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and distribution apparatus such as switchgear, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.
  • Monitor work as performed, direct subordinate supervisors and crews, and schedule work according to the pace of the job and other trades.
  • May perform work being supervised for either production or instruction.
  • Handle or oversee the disposition of required office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, time sheets/tickets, and safety reports.
  • Responsible for overall project safety performance; ensure employees are properly trained or instructed in their assigned duties.
  • Ensure compliance with all FSG safety processes and protocols; investigate or assist in the investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving job-site employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma at minimum.
  • Must possess all skills of lower-rated positions including Foreman, Journeyman, A4, and E4.
  • Current State Journeyman’s or Master’s Electrical License (include expiration date).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Six years or more of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background screen.
  • Able to fulfill physical job requirements including but not limited to: lifting more than 50 lbs, lifting, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, climbing, and pushing/pulling body weight.
  • OSHA 30 Certification at minimum and/or able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
