Electrical Construction Inspector
About the role
We are looking for an Electrical Construction Inspector who can demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities. You will conduct inspections of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at Transportation facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit, Ports, etc. You will collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers, read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents. You will also conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses, oversee testing, commissioning and acceptance of specialized electrical systems, and perform other duties as needed.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT
- Excellent Organizational and communication skills required
- OSHA 30-hour training
- Preference given to local candidates
Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications

- A minimum of 3 years experience
- Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
