Electrical CAD Technician

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico OR Phoenix, Arizona (On-Site)

About the role

We are representing a position focused on supporting technical teams with drafting and design documentation for a variety of projects. Our team is looking for a detail-oriented professional who can help prepare, revise, and improve engineering drawings while maintaining drafting standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise engineering drawings, plot drawings, and design documentation from sketches or layouts.
• Support technical teams by assisting with drafting design solutions and standard drafting detail programs.
• Follow company and client drafting standards, procedures, and discipline-specific drafting practices.
• Research project concerns, recommend design solutions, and assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required, along with coursework in drafting technology.
• AutoCAD experience is required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and basic Microsoft Office knowledge are required.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located, without time limitations, restrictions, or sponsorship needs.

Qualifications

• Candidate with CAD background and some GIS experience is preferred.
• Specialized CAD certification is also preferred.
