Electrical BIM Operator
HotFoot Recruiters is partnered with a well-established MEP consulting engineering firm to hire Electrical BIM Operators in Phoenix, Arizona. This role supports a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for designing mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems for complex commercial and institutional facilities. The firm delivers high-performance, energy-efficient solutions across industries, including semiconductor, healthcare, aviation, mission-critical, and commercial projects.
About the role
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented BIM professional with strong electrical Revit modeling experience who thrives in a collaborative design environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Revit BIM models for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
- Produce accurate construction drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate electrical models with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Incorporate engineer markups and design updates into BIM models with high accuracy.
- Identify and resolve clashes and coordination issues within BIM environments.
- Ensure all models comply with company BIM standards and project requirements.
- Support the creation of construction document sets and project deliverables.
- Maintain organized project files and version control throughout the design lifecycle.
- Assist with BIM coordination meetings and model reviews.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of experience in BIM modeling or coordination (electrical preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is REQUIRED.
- Experience modeling electrical systems (power, lighting, panel layouts, conduit routing is a plus).
- Understanding of electrical systems within building design environments.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary BIM coordination environments (MEP projects).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Pay
$28–$34/hour, depending on experience. An additional $96/day for being on the client's site, paid as a quarterly bonus.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
