About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Assembly II (Electro-Mechanical Assembler) to perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical builds, wiring, repairs, and inspections supporting Navy and defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Assembling system-level and subassembly components using wiring, soldering, crimping, and cable routing in accordance with engineering schematics and work instructions.
- Supporting mechanical and electrical assembly of shipboard hardware, including chassis, wiring harnesses, CCAs, and circuit boards.
- Interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and connector pin-outs for assembly tasks.
- Conducting inspections, functional testing, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Adhering to safety protocols, maintaining organized work areas, and supporting daily production schedules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant electro-mechanical assembly and hand-soldering experience.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and drawings.
- Capability to obtain certifications such as IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, and IPC-A-610 (training provided if needed).
Skills
- Experience working to IPC workmanship criteria and in defense manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of cable and harness fabrication, electrical testing, and team collaboration.
