About the role
We are looking for an Electrical Assembler for our Retrofit Production Team based in Wendell, NC. This role involves performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears, Switchboards, and Breakers.
Responsibilities
- Perform sub-assembly and final assembly wiring with high accuracy and workmanship, including proper stripping and crimping techniques.
- Work with large power cables, ensuring correct crimping methods, and assemble components on panels per layouts or drawings.
- Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts, and assembly drawings.
- Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
- Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
- 1+ years’ experience with commercial or industry wiring.
- Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Proficiency in reading and working with schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists with minimal supervision.
- Experience using standard hand and power tools, including pneumatic and battery-operated tools, wiring tools, and accurately reading a tape measure.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical clearances.
- Associate's Degree or technical training in area of responsibility.
- Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
Pay
Hourly Rate: $20.36
Schedule
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
