Electrical Assembler
Overview
Caf USA is an international market leader for the design, manufacture, maintenance and supply of equipment and components for integrated transport systems. Located in Elmira Heights, New York, the area offers a blend of urban convenience and natural beauty.
Functions and responsibilities
- Installs, services and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets and wiring.
- Must have vast knowledge with electrical component plug assemblies.
- Installs, repairs and services specialized electrical equipment and machinery.
- Reads electrical circuit diagrams and blueprints.
- Transfers primary power from one power source to another.
- Installs conductors, splices cable, builds terminations and does necessary hookup for primary power source.
- May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.
- Capable of process improvement.
- Collaborate with management any issues that may arise with project.
Training and Education Required
- A high school diploma or equivalent from a certified technical school.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Two or more years of related experience.
Safety Requirements
- Report all injuries and illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident.
- Report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor.
- Comply with all CAF USA safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment that is communicated and supplied to them.
- Keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times.
- Attend all CAF USA required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work.
- Do not operate any CAF USA equipment, forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts until certified to do so.
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 to 23 per hour.
