Electrical Analytical Engineering Consultant 2
About the role
This position offers a hybrid work schedule combining both office and remote work. The Electrical Analytical Division focuses on providing critical electrical analysis and consulting services for various S&L power projects, including substation, transmission line, conventional power, nuclear, and renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform relay setting calculations
- Conduct power system calculations
- Analyze arc flash scenarios
- Evaluate cable ampacity
- Carry out transient analysis
- Study harmonic phenomena
- Assess renewable energy systems
- Address grounding and induction issues
- Provide on-site consultation at client offices and project sites
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience, or a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical analysis
- Experience using software like ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and EMTP-RV
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate with others
Skills
- Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
- Completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) exam
