Electrical Analytical Engineering Consultant 2

About the role

This position offers a hybrid work schedule combining both office and remote work. The Electrical Analytical Division focuses on providing critical electrical analysis and consulting services for various S&L power projects, including substation, transmission line, conventional power, nuclear, and renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay setting calculations
• Conduct power system calculations
• Analyze arc flash scenarios
• Evaluate cable ampacity
• Carry out transient analysis
• Investigate harmonic issues
• Assess renewable energy systems
• Design grounding and induction strategies
• Provide on-site consultation at client offices and project sites

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or relevant industry experience) is required.
• A Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in electrical analysis.
• Experience using software like ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and EMTP-RV.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to lead and collaborate with others.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc.
• Successful completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) exam.
