Election Poll Worker

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the polling location prior to opening
• Greet and assist voters with checking in and verifying their eligibility
• Provide guidance on voting procedures and answer questions from voters
• Operate voting equipment and assist with troubleshooting, if needed
• Maintain order and security at the polling location
• Collect and record data accurately and securely
• Ensure compliance with election laws and regulations
• Absorb data from the polling location at the end of the voting day

Experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in social media management for disseminating election-related information
• Ability to manage projects effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience in addiction counseling or public health is a plus
• Familiarity with volunteer management, recruiting, and fundraising is desirable
• Willingness to educate oneself on election laws, regulations, and procedures
