EKG Equipment Tech ATRMC (Sleep Lab)

Full-time position with variable hours and days.

Pay

Salary range: $20.53 - $28.23 per hour.

• $1.16 extra for shifts between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.00 extra for shifts between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $0.99 extra for weekend hours

Responsibilities

• Assist respiratory care practitioners through equipment cleaning, assembly, supply stocking, and inventory control.
• Acquire 12-lead electrocardiograms on all patient age groups.
• Perform appropriate ECG/equipment technician duties utilizing policies, procedures, and orders.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform electrocardiograms based on established policies, procedures, or orders in a timely manner.
• Use sound clinical judgment and effective problem-solving abilities during patient care implementation.
• Perform rapid assessment to determine changing priorities and coordinate resources for effective response in emergent situations.
• Communicate data obtained from ECGs to other healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust workload or duties in response to changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, or scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited 2-year Respiratory Care Practitioner training program is highly preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association is required upon start.

Preferred Experience

• Data entry, DOS, Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing experience.
• Previous experience as a healthcare provider.
• Recent employment establishing decision-making ability and/or mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to organize workload according to essential tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Effective communication skills and supportive of the total patient care team.
