Polysomnographic Tech

Department: OFIL Sleep Laboratory
Location: 3800 203rd St, Olympia Fields, IL 60461

Responsibilities

• Performs all Sleep Disorder Center procedures, including but not limited to sleep data analysis and report generation, diagnostic polysomnograms, CPAP, Bi level and/or oxygen titration polysomnograms, and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests, consistent with community and national standards.
• Assists the Sleep Center manager/director in daily operations, including scheduling, answering phones, and other duties as directed.
• May be responsible for staff education and training as needed.
• Safely manages the environment of care while providing quality services for all customers.
• Provides physical and supportive care and sleep-related health education to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Nationally registered in polysomnography with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Graduate of an accredited polysomnography program or respiratory therapy program preferred.
• 1 year technical experience working in a sleep lab/center preferred.
• Experience scoring sleep studies preferred.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree required. If no degree, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Pay

$31.12/hr.
