EIT Diver - Bridge Inspection

About the Role

As an Engineer or EIT Diver at Consor, you will prepare for and work on dive teams for structural assessment contracts locally, regionally, and across the U.S. You’ll help plan, schedule, and coordinate dive assignments in the field while serving as a bridge inspector, diver, and report contributor. Your path to Team Leader will be accelerated, allowing you to refine your skills in the water from day one while learning to lead a team and project. You’ll also gain experience in topside inspection of bridges and other structures to protect the traveling public and build a comprehensive inspection skillset.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and develop reports in accordance with national bridge inspection standards to determine maintenance or repair needs.
• Conduct emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision and floods.
• Participate in report preparation and quality control processes.
• Perform load rating of existing bridges.
• Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections, including dive gear, vehicles, and boats.
• Maintain bridge records and files.

Requirements

• ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
• BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred) from an accredited university.
• Proficient technical writing skills.
• CAD skills preferred.
• Must be physically able to perform bridge inspections in the field.
• Valid driver’s license required.
