Bridge Inspection Diver

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations as part of an inspection team
• Works collaboratively with all members of the engineering dive group
• Prepares standard documents, such as technical reports
• Aids Project Managers to ensure that the scope of work is fulfilled, and that the contracted deliverables go out on schedule and as budgeted
• Ability and willingness to travel as required, approximately 50% overnight

Requirements

• 3 years preferred experience as a commercial diver, including underwater inspections of bridges, piers, piles, wharves, docks and bulkheads
• Diver Certification
• NBIS Certification (NHI – 130091 Underwater Bridge Inspection Training)
• NBIS Certification (NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and NHI 130053 Bridge Inspection Refresher Training if NHI 130055 Certificate is older than 4 years)
• Familiarity with sound engineering and safe diving principles
• Valid driver’s license
