About the role
The EHS Supervisor will lead and coordinate the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for Nucor Towers & Structures Plant (NTSPA).
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in plant-wide culture building, environmental and safety management, training, audits and community outreach.
- Interact with all teammates to ensure understanding of and compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Develop and provide applicable training to ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements.
- Participate in corporate environmental and safety initiatives.
- Responsible for water treatment operations.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of a High school diploma/GED.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Safety and/or Environmental position.
- At least 2 years of operations experience.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Commitment to safety, actively involved in their division’s safety initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in safety or environment.
- Environmental or occupational safety experience in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, including industrial hygiene and testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Supervisor and/or manager recommendation.
