Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health, Environmental or equivalent
- 7+ years in EHS in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Prior Safety Specific Training (OSHA 30 Hour, Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, etc.)
- 7+ years of experience in a safety and/or environmental role in an industrial setting
- Comfortable working in a plant environment
- Working knowledge of federal safety and environmental laws (e.g. OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Ability to work with respective outside agencies and contracted employees
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to use a variety of software applications to analyze, monitor data, create reports, and presentations
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, extensive walking, confined spaces, wear a respirator (if applicable) and handle exposures to hot/cold environments
- Excellent communication, training and organizational skills
- Demonstrated Root-Cause analysis skills (RCCA, 5-Whys)
- Leadership skills to direct personnel, implement initiatives, supervising teams, and performing follow-up activities
- Analytical ability to assess complex situations and apply problem solving strategies
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to be on call, as needed 24/7
- Ability to travel up to 5%
Qualifications
- Must meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Has served as the EHS Leader of the site for a minimum of three years.
- Is recognized by the Company as a Subject Matter Expert in a specific EHS discipline (e.g. Fall Protection, Machine Safeguarding, Process Safety, etc.), and is called upon to share his/her expertise with other locations within the Company.
- Professional Certifications in Safety, Environmental or Occupational Health (e.g. CSP, CIH, OHST, SMS, CEM, CHMM, etc.).
- Additional Consideration Given for:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).

- Programs are built and healthy and it is a new facility, a lot of improvement/systems that need to be worked on

- Safety needs to mesh has the team, and strong enough to make changes/and bring those changes to the team
