About the role

The EHS Compliance Specialist will support the development and implementation of safety and compliance programs at a new manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include investigating incidents, conducting root cause analysis, partnering cross-functionally to identify risks, managing PSM and RMP compliance, assisting with safety audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting, coordinating safety committees, emergency response planning, and training programs. The role also involves monitoring facility conditions and leading initiatives to reduce hazards and improve workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of safety and compliance programs for a new manufacturing site
  • Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify risks and improve processes, equipment, and safety practices
  • Help manage PSM (Process Safety Management) and RMP (Risk Management Program) compliance
  • Auxiliary with safety audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Cook up safety committees, emergency response planning, and training programs
  • Maintain oversight of facility conditions and lead initiatives to reduce hazards and improve workplace safety
  • Support compliance with fire protection, hazardous materials, and emergency preparedness standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS, safety, or industrial compliance
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
  • Willingness to grow expertise in PSM and environmental programs

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a background check

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of safety and compliance regulations

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $99,000 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, which is based on organizational performance.
