About the Role
A Safety and Environmental Engineer responsible for managing safety and environmental activities at assigned manufacturing locations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and sustain safety and environmental programs
- Review processes for compliance with regulations and recommend improvements
- Perform emissions calculations, prepare permits, and provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Conduct safety and environmental audits, identify improvement opportunities, and lead initiatives
- Ensure timely completion of internal and external safety and environmental reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ safety and/or environmental regulatory experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of chemical reactions, emission calculations, and hazard assessment
- Proficiency in interpreting technical data, creating CAD drawings, and evaluating safety risks
- Strong communication skills with regulatory agencies and third-party suppliers
- Demonstrated integrity and compliance in regulated environments
