EHS Analyst

Location: Nacogdoches, TX — relocation assistance will be provided for candidates residing outside a 50‑mile radius.

Pay

Annual salary range: $71,000 – $105,000 (general guideline; actual salary based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations).

Responsibilities

• Support environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS) activities at the site, including establishing EHS objectives and targets.
• Report internal EHS performance and communicate national, area, and local regulatory requirements.
• Assist with Eaton’s Management of Environmental, Safety, Security, and Health (MESH) and ISO 14001 certification.
• Ensure accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics and timely closure of MESH and regulatory findings.
• Complete required training for EHS personnel and conduct EHS training as needed.
• Support crisis actions and promote a strong EHS culture that engages employees through EHS teams and processes.
• Help set EHS targets & objectives for the plant, value streams, and EHS team; develop activity‑based goals for leadership, functional managers, and front‑line supervisors.
• Track leading and lagging indicators, prepare reports on key EHS performance indicators, and present data to leadership groups.
• Facilitate MESH element champions, lead at least one MESH element, and drive zero‑incident culture.
• Lead EHS engagement through teams and committees to achieve annual targets and objectives.
• Collaborate with EHS leader and MESH champions to evaluate compliance with country, state, and local regulations.
• Support third‑party recognition efforts to position the site’s EHS program as world‑class.
• Integrate continuous‑improvement (Lean/CI) concepts into EHS initiatives.
• Utilize established EHS data processes (e.g., MESH Suite) to manage data and ensure training is defined, tracked, and completed.
• Maintain key EHS operational controls, preventive‑maintenance programs, and timely resolution of EHS action items.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of experience in an EHS‑related field.
• One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Eaton does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline (or related field).
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Professional credentials such as IH, CSP, and/or CHMM.
• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven track record of safety metric performance and improvement.
• Lean fundamentals and continuous‑improvement knowledge.

Skills

• Ability to direct and lead cross‑functional process‑improvement teams.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Detailed comprehension of industry/state/country‑specific EHS requirements.
• Thorough training in hazardous materials handling and emergency response.
• Experience developing and deploying EHS systems.
• Understanding of workers’ compensation regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
